Interface: 3/5
Although the this stompbox has an untraditional five knobs, it is in no way confusing to use. Actually, there is a lot of intuitive manipulation of sound that can be done without consulting the manual.
Versatility: 3/5
The ability to control your wet and dry signals independently makes for a much heightened selection of options for the player. Those controls enable either low-key, subtle wah or a bright and in-your-face effect, which add even more options to the already quite diverse pedal.
Clarity of Effect: 4/5
You can achieve some great envelope effects that sound tight, clean, and are easily controlled. Your tone will be faithfully translated when in full wah mode.
Live application: 3.5/5
While the pedal is not hard to figure out, it can be a challenge to manipulate on the fly. Ultimately, its high quality sounds will overshadow that reality. If you can find one sound you like enough, you may never need to change it mid gig. The Bas Envelope Filter is definitely a high quality option.
