As would be expected from TC, the Helix is just a great phaser. With its simple controls, its multiple sounds and of course, TonePrint, you can really find your own personal phase sound. The best part of this pedal is the mix knob, something many phase pedals could benefit from. Great pedal. Great sounds.

This is mostly a standard layout for a phaser. That being said the switchable phase types are easily accessed. The uncommon mix knob adds a magnificent amount of control.

Having control over the mix is a nice addition that adds versatility. Combine that with the TonePrint and two phaser options and you are looking at one of the more versatile, yet smaller sized phasers available.
Clarity of Effect: 4.5/5
You can tweak this pedal to create any version of a phase that you need, and it really works wonders on your tone. You do not lose any of your signal, and because of splendid addition of the mix knob, you have total control of the effect.
Live application: 3.5/5
This stompbox is easy to use in a live setting, but it does take some time to dial up a new sound on stage. This can be quite a subtle pedal or it can be a dominating effect. Know how to create the sound you’re looking for before the gig! Or, use the TonePrint to save one effect and have another always dialed up!
