TC Electronic Mimiq
TC Electronic Mimiq
It is not often we see a pedal put out by a major pedal company that has a rare and singularly specific use, but this stompbox is just that. Simply designed to achieve a doubling effect in a live setting, the Mimiq is not meant to be anything other than a subtle addition of color. If this is an effect you have been wanting, give this pedal a try. It might be just what you need.

Interface: 4/5
This pedal is as straightforward as it gets. The parameters are simply understood and easy to use. As always with TC pedals, the Tone print adds another level of functionality and sonic maneuverability.
Versatility: 1.5/5
This pedal really only does one thing, and that one thing is not incredibly useful. However the TonePrint options do make this pedal a little more versatile.
Clarity of Effect: 3.5/5
Although the doubling effect is audible and somewhat convincing, it does function too well at some of the settings.
Live application: 2.5/5
If you want to double or triple your sound, this pedal can do that fairly well. At certain settings, the pedal sounds similar to a low quality chorus.
