A true classic, this workhorse of a pedal gives the user a wonderful clean boost as well as an overdrive that does not get too intense. This is meant to be more of a tone and signal shaping pedal than a true overdrive. But, it still can pack a bit of a punch when called upon. The BB’s only shortcoming is its handling of your tone.

Another standard four knob drive pedal. However, there is a slight click when you hit twelve o’clock with the treble and bass knobs. That is a nice touch.
Versatility: 3/5
Unlike other overdrive pedals we have tried, this one does not get too extreme. It does subtle to medium amounts of drive very well, but does not seem to be able to get to more extreme distortion levels.
Tonal Reproduction: 3/5
The BB is lacking in this category. It does have some strength and warmth, but the tone that you put into the pedal simply does not come out the other side.
Live application: 3/5
Were its tonal integrity a little better, this would be an incredible live pedal. For players looking to add a little edge and push to their playing without going crazy with distortion, this would be a good pick. Its only setback is that it does not give as pleasant and clear representation of your tone as could be hoped for.
