Way Huge Echo Puss
Way Huge Echo Puss
With the middle child in their line of Puss pedals, the good people at Way Huge have amped up the tonal manipulability in this pedal. Sadly, nothing else has been changed. We are still left with the questionable tone and short delay times of the Aqua-Puss.
External Control: None
Cost: $$

Interface: 3/5
The pedal is simple enough to understand. The two large knobs are the main manipulations of the delay itself, so this makes on the fly tweaking easy. The addition of the finer manipulation knobs does satisfy some of the audibly empty space left on the Aqua-Puss
Versatility: 1.5/5
This pedal has only one delay sound. However, there can be some manipulation of tone and an LFO circuit to change the delay texture some, but the variability is severely limited.
Tonal Reproduction: 1.5/5
This delay has, by design, a truly analog sound. However, the low-fi quality of this pedal’s tone is rather abrasive and somewhat tinny. This is one of those pedals that has a particular sound, and will only be attractive to you if that sound is something you crave.
Live application: 2.5/5
There are no presets and no tap. However, the pedal’s main controls make changing settings on the fly fairly simple. It lack of versatility and sonic quality can make one think twice about this pedal.
- 600ms of delay
- Fully tweakable LFO modulation circuit
